The Kuwait basketball team celebrates on the podium.
MANAMA, Sept 8: Kuwait's basketball team secured the bronze medal at the Gulf Basketball Championship, concluding its campaign with an 80-77 victory over Saudi Arabia in the third-place match held in Manama, Bahrain.
In a historic win, the Bahraini team claimed its first-ever championship title by defeating Qatar 73-68 in the final. The tournament, which ran from September 2 to 8, was hosted in Bahrain under the patronage of Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports.
