HONG KONG, Jan 14: The Kuwait men's bowling team delivered a remarkable performance at the World Cup hosted in Hong Kong from January 6 to 14, securing an impressive third-place finish alongside the American team. The team, comprising Aseel Al-Roumi, Mustafa Al-Moussawi, Mohammed Abdul Razzaq, and Adel Abel, demonstrated exceptional skill and determination in a highly competitive tournament featuring some of the world’s strongest teams. Their achievement stands as a proud milestone for Kuwait on the global stage.

In the men’s division, the Malaysian team claimed the championship title, while Puerto Rico finished as runners-up. Meanwhile, in the women’s competition, the American team took first place, followed by Malaysia in second, with Macau and Singapore sharing third place.

Sheikh Talal Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Bowling Club and President of the Asian and International Bowling Federations, expressed his delight with this outstanding achievement. He emphasized that it reflects the progress of bowling in Kuwait, guided by a strategic roadmap aimed at advancing the sport and elevating team performance to achieve accolades for Kuwait in international arenas.

Sheikh Talal dedicated this success to Kuwait's wise leadership, including His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah. He noted that their directives and unwavering support for sports and athletes have been a source of great inspiration.

He also extended his gratitude to the Public Authority for Sports for their continuous support in overcoming challenges faced by Kuwaiti athletes. Praising the players’ excellent performance and determination, Sheikh Talal affirmed that this accomplishment firmly places Kuwait on the global sports map in bowling.
