Kuwait Braces for Rain, Fog, and a Drop in Temperatures This Week
Kuwait forecasts scattered rain, fog, and mild temperatures from Tuesday to Thursday

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11:  The Meteorological Department has forecast that Kuwait will experience a shift in weather conditions starting Tuesday morning, as a high-pressure system currently over the country begins to weaken. This will allow a low-pressure system to move in, bringing with it a humid air mass and an increase in cloud cover.

According to the Director of the Department, Dharar Al-Ali, the country will see scattered light rain from Tuesday morning, which will gradually intensify, ranging from light to moderate, and continue until Thursday morning. At times, the rain may be accompanied by thunder. Al-Ali explained that the rains will be accompanied by southeasterly winds, which may become active at times, and that dense fog is expected to form on Wednesday evening, reducing visibility significantly in some areas.

Weather conditions are expected to improve starting Thursday afternoon with the return of the high-pressure system. Clouds will decrease and rain chances will subside.

Today's weather forecast

The weather today is expected to be cool, with partly cloudy to cloudy skies. Northeasterly winds will shift to southeasterly at light to moderate speeds, ranging from 8 to 32 km/h. There is a chance of scattered rain. The maximum temperatures will be between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius, with the sea remaining light to moderate, with waves ranging from 2 to 5 feet.

Tonight's weather outlook

Tonight, the weather will turn cold and cloudy, with southeasterly winds that could occasionally become active, blowing at speeds between 10 and 40 km/h. There is a possibility of scattered rain, at times thundery. The minimum temperatures are expected to range between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius, with the sea remaining light to moderate, with waves between 2 to 6 feet.

Wednesday's Weather Forecast

On Wednesday, the weather will be cold and cloudy, with winds shifting from northeasterly to southeasterly, light to moderate at speeds between 10 and 40 km/h. There is a chance of scattered rain, possibly accompanied by thunder. Maximum temperatures will range from 17 to 19 degrees Celsius. The sea will remain light to moderate, with waves rising between 2 to 6 feet.

The weather at night is expected to be cold and partly cloudy, with winds becoming variable, light to moderate in speed, and possibly reaching 40 km/h. Scattered rain, sometimes thundery, is likely, with fog expected in some areas. Minimum temperatures will range from 10 to 12 degrees Celsius, and sea conditions will remain light to moderate, with waves between 2 to 6 feet.

Thursday's weather forecast

On Thursday, the weather will moderate and become partly cloudy, with horizontal visibility gradually improving. Winds will shift to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, between 8 and 32 km/h. There may be scattered light rain in the southern regions, with maximum temperatures ranging between 19 and 21 degrees Celsius. The sea will remain light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 4 feet.

Thursday evening outlook

Thursday evening will see moderate weather with partly cloudy skies. Winds will remain variable, turning to northwesterly at light to moderate speeds, between 8 and 32 km/h. Minimum temperatures are expected to be between 10 and 12 degrees Celsius, with the sea remaining light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 4 feet.
