Kuwait champions expat workers' well-being

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 4: Farwaniya Governor Athbi Al-Nasser conducted an inspection tour of the Shelter for Expatriate Workers in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Monday morning. According to a press release issued by Farwaniya Governorate, the governor was received by the Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) Marzouq Al Otaibi, Director of Public Relations and Media Department Muhammad Al-Mazini, Director of Labor Relations Fatouh Al-Ansari, and Head of the Shelter Center Muhammad Al-Rajah. The visit was aimed at reviewing the procedures for receiving expatriate workers and ensuring their basic needs are met. The governor commended the dedication of the center’s employees and appreciated their commitment to providing basic support and services to ensure the comfort and safety of the workers. He expressed gratitude for the great humanitarian efforts exerted by the staff, highlighting Kuwait’s commitment to its humanitarian responsibilities.

Sheikh Athbi affirmed the importance of the role played by human rights associations and public benefit organizations, which have offices within the center, in enhancing humanitarian services. He stressed that Kuwait’s reputation as a center for humanitarian work necessitates ongoing collaboration among all concerned parties to improve the level of services and care provided to expatriate workers
