DOHA, Nov 2, (KUNA): Kuwait increased its medal count to 10 at the 4th Qatar International Taekwondo Championship, adding eight medals on Friday, including three golds.
In the junior female category, Teiba Al-Maghrabi claimed gold in the 27 kg division, Mesk Al-Salem won gold in the 59 kg division, while Ghola Al-Assaf and Al-Hawra Habib took bronze in the 59 kg and 25 kg divisions, respectively.
In the junior male category, Walid Al-Mutairi captured gold in the 49 kg division, with Mosaab Al-Masoud (49 kg), Noah Abdullatif (41 kg), and Rakan Al-Ajmi (53 kg) each winning bronze.
On the tournament’s opening day, Kuwait’s Shahd Al-Ajmi and Houraa Al-Damkhi each secured bronze in the 42 kg and 49 kg female competitions, respectively.
The tournament, which concluded on Saturday, has brought together 1,440 competitors from 40 countries across four categories: cadet, junior, youth, and adult.
