Players fight for the ball during Zain Premier League match.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 16: Kuwait Club and Al-Arabi continued their strong performances in the Zain Premier League with their fourth consecutive victory. Kuwait Club dominated Al-Nasr with 5-1, while Al-Arabi defeated Al-Fahaheel 3-0.

Kuwait Club is on track for a remarkable fourth consecutive title and its 20th championship overall. The team has consistently performed well in recent rounds, overcoming opponents with ease thanks to the impressive displays from most of its players.

Al-Arabi is also showing strong form in its pursuit of the title, which has eluded it for four seasons. The team’s determined performances suggest it has learned from last season's mistakes when it lost crucial points and fell short in the final rounds. This season, it is focused on avoiding a repeat of those errors. Al-Salmiya has claimed third place after it edged resilient Al-Qadsiya 1-0, adding to the latter’s struggles.

Al-Qadsiya dropped to seventh place with only three points, following a hard-fought victory over Al-Yarmouk in the second round. This decline has sparked calls from fans for changes within the team, as recent performances under new Montenegrin coach Zeljko Petrovic have not lived up to expectations.

Kazma has faced challenges; with Tunisian coach Lassad Chaabi failing in his debut after a 2-1 loss to Tadamon. Kazma has fallen to eighth place, also with just three points. Al-Fahaheel remains in fourth place with six points. Tadamon, having secured its first win of the season, moved up to fifth place with four points. Khaitan also has four points, after a 1-1 draw with Yarmouk. Al-Yarmouk remains at the bottom of the table with just two points. Al-Nasr has dropped to ninth place with three points, suffering their third defeat of the season.

Meanwhile, Al-Salmiya Club President Sheikh Turki Al-Yousef rewarded each player with 500 dinars following their narrow 1-0 victory over Al-Qadisiya in the fourth round of the Zain Premier League. Sheikh Al-Yousef encouraged his players to maintain their strong performance in the upcoming matches. Croatian coach Ante Miša expressed his satisfaction with the win, stating, "We executed the match plan effectively by solidifying our defense and capitalizing on the opportunity to score the winning goal."
