Kuwait Club and Kazma advance to the semifinals

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: Kuwait and Kazma have advanced to the semi-finals of the Federation Volleyball Championship following commanding victories in the eighth round. Kuwait Club defeated Burgan 3-1, while Kazma swept Al-Shabab 3-0, solidifying their positions among the top four teams.

Kuwait Club remains unbeaten in the tournament, amassing 21 points from seven consecutive wins. Burgan, despite its efforts, stayed at 14 points with five wins and two losses. Kazma secured second place with 18 points from six victories and one defeat, while Al-Shabab remained at 10 points.

The remaining matches in the round will determine the other two teams joining Kuwait Club and Kazma in the semi-finals, as per the tournament’s structure, which allows the top four teams from the preliminary round to progress.

Burgan showed resilience against against Kuwait Club, claiming the first set 28-26. However, Kuwait Club quickly regained control, dominating the subsequent sets 25-15, 25-21, and 25-16 to secure the win and collect all three points. Burgan now awaits the outcome of the Qadsia vs. Al-Arabi match to determine its fate.

Kazma, aiming for the championship title, faced little resistance in its encounter with Al-Shabab. The “Orange” team clinched a straightforward victory, winning the sets 25-14, 26-24, and 25-19, earning their spot in the next round.
