KUWAIT CITY, April 27: Kuwait Club and Kazma secured spots in the final of the "Merged" Basketball League after defeating Al-Qurain and Al-Qadsia in the "Golden Square" at the Basketball Association Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex.
Kuwait Club advanced with 88-70 victory over Al-Qurain, marking their second consecutive win, while Kazma triumphed 104-90 against Al-Qadsia for the second time. The two teams will now face off in the league final, which will be decided in a playoff format with a winner-takes-all advantage.
The match between "Sons of Kaifan" and "Al-Qurain" was intense, with Kuwait Club asserting control early on. Al-Qurain's national coach, Yahya Kleib, worked to keep pace with the defending champion, but Kuwait's experience and superiority in three-point shooting made the difference.
Kuwait Club’s Alexander Al-Ghais and Jakar Samson were standout performers, each contributing 22 points, while Mohammed Adnan added 17 points. Al-Qurain's key players included Love (20 points), Brown (18 points), and Adel Al-Saeed (11 points).
