Kuwait Club claimed an effortless 115-87 victory over Al-Sulaibikhat in the third round of the Basketball League. Qadsia also recorded an emphatic win, defeating Yarmouk 110-41. With these results, both Kuwait Club and Qadsia raised their tallies to 4 points, while Al-Sulaibikhat moved to 3 points and Yarmouk to 2 points.
The league follows a two-division format, with the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals. The semi-final pairings will see the first-ranked team face the fourth and the second take on the third in a best-of-three playoff format. The winners will progress to a best-of-five final, with the team securing three victories crowned champion.
Kuwait Club dominated early, with their American players Weber and Simpson excelling both from beyond the arc and under the basket. The first quarter ended 27-18 in Kuwait Club’s favor.
Although Al-Sulaibikhat attempted to fight back in the second quarter, led by its standout professional Orans, Kuwait Club maintained control with impressive performances from Turki Hamoud and Abdulrahman Al-Juma, finishing the half 55-46.
Kuwait Club extended its lead significantly in the third quarter, ending it 85-64, and continued its dominance in the final quarter to seal a commanding victory.
Qadsia faced little resistance from Yarmouk, controlling the game from start to finish. The "Yellow" squad outclassed its opponent, winning each quarter decisively: 36-8, 75-19, 90-28, en route to a 110-41 win.
