The Kuwaiti players intensify training for Khaleeji Zain 26.

DOHA, Dec 4: Players from Qadsia and Kuwait Club have joined the national football team delegation in Doha for their training camp ahead of "Khaleeji  Zain 26", which Kuwait will host from December 21 to January 3.

The players had been absent following their participation with their respective clubs—the Qadsia in the Gulf Champions League and Kuwait Club in the AFC Champions League 2. The players joining the camp include Khaled Al-Rashidi, Khaled Ibrahim, Mubarak Al-Fanini, Saud Al-Hoshan, Eid Al-Rashidi, Fahad Al-Hajri, Sami Al-Sanea, Moaz Al-Dhafiri, Rashid Al-Dosari, Ahmed Al-Dhafiri, Faisal Zayed, Khaled Al-Kharqawi, and Mohammed Daham. They missed the Blues' training sessions, which began last Thursday in Doha.

The national team maintains a rigorous training schedule, with two daily sessions: a morning gym workout at the team’s residence and an evening practice at Qatar University’s fields. Argentine coach Juan Pizzi and assistant coach Ahmed Abdul Karim are overseeing the preparations.

The Blues are set to play their first friendly match of the camp against Yemen next Monday. They will follow this with a match against Lebanon on December 12 and conclude their friendly fixtures against Syria on December 15.

The national team delegation will return to Kuwait on December 16 before continuing internal training in preparation for the "Khaleeji  Zain 26". The team is placed in Group A alongside Qatar, the UAE, and Oman, while Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Yemen make up Group B.
