KUWAIT CITY, May 15: In the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kuwait Basketball Club team emerged as the champion of the West Asian Super League (Gulf Region) by defeating Manama club with a score of 95-85 in their second final match on Monday. Kuwait secured the title by winning two out of three matches. In the first match held in the State of Kuwait last week, Kuwait won with a score of 78-87.

The West Asian Super Championship is divided into three groups and features clubs from various countries such as Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Oman representing the Gulf region, along with clubs from Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine. Additionally, clubs from Kazakhstan, India, and Iran participate in the tournament. The Asian Football Confederation oversees the West Asian Super League, which follows a home and away system.

Under the championship system, three teams from each region qualify for the regional title, which is held based on the assembly system. The West Asian Super League is a new tournament aimed at promoting basketball in the region.
