KUWAIT CITY, March 9: Kuwait Club's first handball team concluded its postponed matches in the league with a perfect record, securing the top spot with 22 points from 11 matches.

In its most recent postponed match at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex Hall, Kuwait Club defeated Khaitan 34-27. The match also saw Kazma overcoming Fahaheel 33-28.

With the postponed matches now complete, the league standings are as follows:

Kuwait Club – 22 points, Kazma – 19 points, Burgan – 17 points, Salmiya and Al-Arabi – 14 points each, Al-Qurain, Al-Sulaibikhat, and Al-Qadsiya – 12 points each, Al-Nasr – 10 points, Khaitan and Fahaheel – 8 points each, Yarmouk – 2 points, Al-Tadamon – 1 point, Al-Sahel – 0 points.

The handball league had been suspended since December 6 to allow the national team to prepare for and participate in the 29th World Cup, which was recently held in Croatia, Norway, and Denmark. The "Blues" finished in 27th place overall in the tournament. Additionally, Kuwait Club participated in the 41st Gulf Handball Cup Champions Clubs Championship, where they finished as runners-up behind Qatar’s Al-Arabi.
