KUWAIT CITY, March 25: Kuwait Club triumphed over Al-Qadsiya in a marathon showdown, securing a 3-2 victory (23-25, 31-29, 22-25, 25-17, 15-13) in what has been the most intense match of the season at the Volleyball Association Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Halls Complex.

With this win, the Whites retained their lead in the standings with 28 points, ahead of Kazma (24 points), Al-Shabab (24 points), Al-Qadsiya (22 points), Burgan (16 points), and Al-Arabi (15 points). All six teams have secured qualification for the Premier League, set to begin on April 13. The competition will follow a home-and-away format, leading to a golden square playoff where the top four teams will face off—1st vs. 4th and 2nd vs. 3rd—to determine the league champion.

Meanwhile, Al-Nasr (11 points), Al-Sulaibikhat (9 points), Al-Yarmouk (5 points), Al-Tadamon (3 points), and Al-Sahel (2 points) will compete in the First Division over three rounds.

Kuwait Club continues to dominate, maintaining an undefeated record under the guidance of new Brazilian coach Oliveira, who replaced Turkish coach Taner Atik.

Al-Qadsiya faces a tough challenge in their final Premier League match tomorrow against Kazma at Al-Ittihad Hall in a crucial battle that could shape the final standings.
