AMMAN, Sept 29: The Kuwait Club held its first training session in Amman, the capital of Jordan, as it prepares to face Al-Hussein Irbid in the second round of Group 4 of the AFC Champions League 2 on Wednesday. Kuwait Club started its campaign with a scoreless draw against Nasaf Qarshi from Uzbekistan, while Al-Hussein Irbid suffered a 1-3 loss to Shabab Al-Ahli from the Emirates.

The Kuwaiti delegation welcomed back Mohammed Daham and Meshari Ghannam, who were previously absent from the team during its playoff match against Al-Ahli of Bahrain in Manama last August. They also missed the opportunity to join the national team for the World Cup qualifiers against Jordan. Under the guidance of Montenegrin coach Nebojsa, Kuwait aims to enhance the players' readiness and ensure they are well-prepared for the upcoming match to secure a positive result and continue their quest for one of the two qualifying spots for the next round.

Nebojsa is counting on the players' high morale following their recent 2-0 victory over Al-Arabi, which has placed them at the top of the Zain Premier League standings with 18 points, three points ahead of Al-Arabi.
