Burgan player is held back by Kuwait Club players during the league match.

KUWAIT CITY, March 5: Kuwait Club reclaimed the top spot in the Kuwait Handball League after securing a hard-fought 33-30 victory over Burgan in an intense and competitive match. The game was one of Kuwait’s previously postponed fixtures due to its participation in the 27th Asian Clubs Championship, a qualifier for the 2025 Super Globe, held last November in Doha, Qatar.

Kuwait Club leads the league standings with 18 points, while Burgan, who had held the top position for several weeks, dropped to second place with 17 points.

In another rescheduled match, Kazma, whose fixtures were also delayed due to its participation in the "Doha Asian," defeated Al-Arabi 31-25. This victory propelled "Al-Burtuqali" to third place with 15 points, while "Al-Akhdar" slipped to fifth with 14 points.

The postponed matches continue today, with Al-Nasr facing Kazma at 9:00 pm, followed by Kuwait Club taking on Yarmouk at 10:30 pm. Both matches will be played at Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex Hall.

The league’s rescheduled games will conclude next Saturday when Kuwait Club meets Khaitan and Kazma faces Fahaheel. Regular league action will resume with the 12th round of the General Handball League starting on March 21, followed by the 13th round on March 25.
