RIYADH, Nov 12: In the recently concluded 16th Club World Cup, "Saudi Super Globe 2023," the Kuwait Club clinched the seventh position by defeating the Bahraini team with a score of 29-24 in the match determining the seventh and eighth places. The first half ended with a score of 15-12, and goalkeeper Hassan Safar from the "White" team was honored as the best player in the match.

Despite falling short in the final standings, "Al-Kuwait" showcased a strong performance throughout the tournament. They secured victory against San Fernando, the South and Central American champions, with a score of 41-29 but faced a defeat against the German team FOX Berlin with a score of 28-37. This placed them in the second position in their group, earning two points.

In other results, Al-Ameed, the Arab champion, faced a defeat against Al-Ahly of Egypt with a score of 25-35, and Al-Najma fell to Al-Khaleej of Saudi Arabia with a score of 24-27 in matches determining positions from 5 to 8. Al-Noor of Saudi Arabia secured the ninth position by defeating Cal Heat of the United States with a score of 29-24, while San Fernando claimed the 11th place by defeating the University of Queensland in Australia with a score of 39-28.

Meanwhile, the handball team of Al-Qadsia Club wrapped up their camp in Doha, Qatar, with a draw against Al-Gharafa of Qatar, concluding their preparations for the upcoming Asian Club Championship. In the tournament's "first" group, Al-Qadsia will face tough competition from Indian Sai, Qatari Al-Arabi, the Iraqi Army, Lebanon's Sidon Youth, and the UAE's Al-Sharjah.
