Kuwait Club stays top as Al-Arabi sweeps Al-Nasr

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: Al-Qadsiya Club's first volleyball team secured a dominant victory over Burqan, winning in straight sets with scores of 25-23, 25-16, and 25-21. The match took place at the Union Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex, marking the conclusion of the first round of the Union Championship. In another match, Al-Arabi also achieved a straight-sets victory over Al-Nasr, with scores of 25-15, 25-16, and 25-17.

The ninth and final round of the first phase of the championship began last Thursday with two other matches. Kuwait Club defeated Kazma 3-1, while Al-Sulaibikhat swept Al-Yarmouk 3-0.

As a result of these outcomes, Kuwait Club retained its position at the top of the standings with 24 points. Al-Qadsiya followed in second place with 21 points, while Kazma secured third place with 18 points. Burqan claimed the fourth spot with 14 points. These four teams advanced to the semi-finals, where Kuwait will face Burqan and Al-Qadsiya will compete against Kazma on Monday.

In the rest of the rankings, Al-Arabi finished fifth with 12 points, followed by Al-Shabab in sixth place with 10 points. Al-Sulaibikhat secured seventh place with six points, Al-Yarmouk came in eighth with three points, and Al-Nasr finished at the bottom without earning any points.
