Kuwait Club player vies for the ball with an opponent during a league game.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 22: Kuwait Club aims to share the top spot with Al-Arabi in the Zain Premier League when it faces Khaitan at 6:50 pm today at the Friendship and Peace Stadium. The round will conclude with a clash between Al-Jarihan as Yarmouk takes on Al-Fahaheel at Abdullah Al-Khalifa Al-Sabah Stadium at 9:05 pm.

In the first match, the “Whites” are looking for their third consecutive victory, aiming to catch up with Al-Arabi at the top of the standings after the “Greens” put them under pressure with a 2-1 win over Al-Qadisiya.

Kuwait Club is coming off a solid 3-0 victory over Al-Fahaheel, a team that has posed challenges for the reigning champion in recent seasons and cost it valuable points.

However, Kuwait Club faces a tough challenge against Khaitan, who are coming off a 3-1 win over Al-Nasr in the last round and are eager to compete with the top teams for higher positions.
In the second match, both Yarmouk and Fahaheel will be looking to bounce back after defeats to Al-Qadisiya (0-1) and Kuwait Club(0-3) respectively.

Yarmouk showed promise in its opening match against Al-Tadamon, securing a draw in the final minutes, and put up a strong fight against Al-Qadisiya in the second round, narrowly missing out on a draw due to bad luck and the outstanding performance of the “Yellow” goalkeeper, Khaled Al-Rashidi.
As for Fahaheel, they delivered a strong performance against Khaitan in the opening round, winning 4-1, but paid the price for missed opportunities against Kuwait Club.
