After winning the volleyball league title, Kuwait Club players celebrate with officials and fans.

KUWAIT CITY, April 9: The Kuwait Club volleyball team clinched the league title in the 57th edition of the 2023-2024 season, securing victory over Al-Qadisiya for the second consecutive time. The showdown unfolded in the golden square, with Kuwait  Club prevailing in three games 25-22, 18-25, 25-23, and 25-23 at the Al-Ittihad Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex, Kuwait Club had previously bested the Al-Qadisiya in their initial encounter in the Golden Square playoffs, sweeping three games to claim the 57th league shield. Al-Qadisiya secured the runner-up position, with Al-Arabi securing third place. This victory marked the "Sons of Kaifan's" achievement of the treble, adding the league title to their earlier victories in the Federation Championship and the Super Cup, while the "Sons of Hawalli" claimed the Federation Cup championship title.

Following the final match, Dr. Jaber Al-Marri, President of the Volleyball Federation, along with the federation's members and Khaled Al-Ghanim, President of the Kuwait Club, ceremoniously crowned the "Dean" with the league shield, awarded silver medals to Al-Qadisiya, and bronze medals to Al-Arabi.

Notably, Al-Qadisiya has secured the championship title 23 times since its inception, followed by Kazma with 15 and Kuwait with 14, while Al-Arabi has clinched the title four times and Al-Jahra once.

Jaber Al-Marri, President of the Football Association, extended congratulations to the victorious teams of the season while expressing wishes for success to all teams in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, Musleh Al-Rashidi, Director of Volleyball at the Kuwait Club, conveyed congratulations to Marzouq Al-Ghanim, the Honorary President of the Kuwait Club, the Chairman, members of the Club's Board of Directors, and its supporters for securing the "Triple" after capturing the well-deserved league title.

Reflecting on the season, Abdul Rahman Al-Otaibi, a star player for the "White" team, noted their ambition to claim all championships but acknowledged the Cup eluded them, extending gratitude to Al-Ameed fans for their support. Bahraini coach of the "Yellow" team, Reda Ali, highlighted Kuwait's pivotal last-minute plays in the final match, crediting the experience of Iranian player Saber Kazemi as instrumental in their success.
