KUWAIT CITY, Jan 15: Yesterday, the General Administration of the Coast Guard unveiled a multi-purpose search and rescue boat and another reconnaissance and search vessel for the Maritime Security Department. These boats were built by the Ministry of Interior with national support at the Coast Guard workshops.

The Ministry emphasized that the inauguration ceremony occurred under the auspices of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled. This initiative is part of the security establishment's strategic plan aimed at bolstering maritime capabilities.

It was highlighted that these boats have already been deployed in Kuwait’s territorial waters and have demonstrated their effectiveness. They adhere to international specifications, playing a crucial role in safeguarding Kuwaiti territorial waters, helping in rescue operations, and monitoring individuals who violate the law.

The General Administration of the Coast Guard has reiterated its commitment to enhancing and localizing the Kuwaiti industry using all available resources. The goal is to overcome obstacles and achieve self-sufficiency in manufacturing these new boats, ensuring their successful deployment for security tasks.
