Kuwait commemorates 10 years of UN honor for late Amir with renewed humanitarian focus

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 9: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait has reaffirmed the country's commitment to humanitarian issues in observance of the 10th anniversary of the United Nations designating the late Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as a humanitarian leader and Kuwait as a humanitarian center.

In a statement released on the occasion, the Ministry highlighted that the honor was given in recognition of the late Amir’s unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes. It commended his role in supporting people affected by crises worldwide, without discrimination based on religion, gender, or race.

The Ministry emphasized Kuwait’s ongoing dedication to maintaining international peace and security, advancing global development, and alleviating the suffering of affected populations. This commitment continues under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
