KUWAIT CITY, Sep 2: Kuwait on Wednesday strongly condemned what it described as Iranian missile and hostile drone attacks that targeted several locations in the country at dawn, including a residential complex.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks constituted a flagrant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and posed a threat to the country’s security and stability.

The ministry said the continued attacks represented a grave breach of international law and the UN Charter, as well as a blatant violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2817.

Kuwait warned that the escalation threatened regional security and stability and undermined diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and preventing further conflict.

The ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s full right to take all necessary measures to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security and national interests, and ensure the safety of citizens and residents, in accordance with international law.
