KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: The latest statistics from the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) revealed that there are 488,272 people of unclear religions in the humanitarian country as at the end of December 2024 compared to 349,539 in 2020. This is in application of the slogan, “Religion is for Allah and the homeland is for everyone”. It is also a confirmation that Kuwait is a country of tolerance and acceptance of others.
The Arab Times obtained a copy of the statistics, which revealed that the number of Muslims in the country reached 3,724,445; while the number of Christians reached 755,109.
In addition, the statistics showed the number of Muslims according to nationality as follows:
1,567,731 Kuwaitis;
1,247,681 Arabs;
866,340 Asians;
22,052 non-Arab Africans;
8,231 Europeans;
11,708 North Americans;
1,548 South Americans and 1,154 Australians.
The Christians include
230 Kuwaitis;
67,926 Arabs;
669,777 non-Arab Asians;
22,268 non- Arab Africans;
7,683 Europeans;
6,289 North Americans;
739 South Americans and
197 Australians.
Most of those with unknown religions are Asians -- 464,082; while 10,213 are from Africa; 1,347 from Europe; 964 from North America; 177 from South America; 48 from Australia, 11,419 are Arabs and 22 are Kuwaitis.
