Kuwait Court Sentences Two for Joining and Promoting ISIS

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13: The Criminal Court, presided over by Counselor Nasser Al-Badr, sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen and a juvenile expatriate to prison on charges of joining and promoting the ISIS terrorist organization. The court handed the citizen a five-year sentence, while the juvenile expatriate received two years and six months of hard labor, followed by deportation from Kuwait.

The Public Prosecution accused the defendants of affiliating with ISIS, encouraging others to join the group through social media, and creating websites to promote its extremist ideologies. Their activities were uncovered and halted by the State Security Service, leading to their arrest and prosecution.

This verdict reflects the court's firm stance against terrorism and its commitment to curbing the spread of extremist propaganda within the country.
