KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11: As part of its efforts to strengthen traffic enforcement and reduce dangerous behaviors that threaten road safety, the General Traffic Department has begun summoning drivers caught on traffic cameras making illegal U-turns in the opposite direction. Strict legal measures will be taken against violators. Authorities stated that penalties include vehicle impoundment for up to 60 days and additional legal actions. Drivers are urged to adhere to traffic regulations to ensure their safety and that of others. The Ministry of Interior has also called on citizens and residents to comply with traffic laws and follow road safety guidelines. It emphasized the continuation of enforcement campaigns to identify and penalize violators, aiming to enhance security and safety on Kuwait’s roads.
