YEREVAN, Armenia, April 20, (KUNA):  Kuwait’s national ice hockey team secured the bronze medal dominantly, defeating Iran 11-0 in the Ice Hockey World Championship Division IV held in Yerevan.

The Kuwaiti squad showcased a strong performance throughout the tournament, recording impressive wins against Indonesia, host nation Armenia, Malaysia, and Iran.

Honorary President of the Kuwait Winter Games Club, Sheikh Jaber Bander Al-Sabah, praised the team’s outstanding efforts and success in winning four matches. In a statement to KUNA, he attributed the team’s rapid development to the continuous planning and dedication of Club Chairman Fuhaid Al-Ajmi, noting that this achievement will serve as a powerful motivator for the players in future competitions.

Salem Al-Marri, who was named Best Player of the Match, expressed his gratitude for the club’s unwavering support, emphasizing its vital role in elevating the team's level of play and boosting player confidence.
