Snapshot from the Kuwait Customs training session led by US experts.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 8: The General Administration of Customs successfully concluded a specialized training course focused on international combating techniques at the airport and air cargo sectors. This training was conducted in collaboration with an advisory team from the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) over three sessions, involving both theoretical and practical components.

Held at the General Administration of Customs Training Center throughout July, the course saw the participation of 75 customs inspectors. The training included visits from two US Customs experts who provided insights into advanced inspection methodologies and international combat strategies.

The Customs Department emphasized the course's significance in enhancing bilateral cooperation and sharing best practices between American and Kuwaiti customs officials. The primary objective was to familiarize Kuwaiti customs personnel with the US inspection techniques and methodologies. The training focused on combating the spread of drugs, weapons, and terrorism, and aimed to improve the skills required for effective inspections in air cargo and passenger operations.

This initiative underscores Kuwait's commitment to strengthening its international combat capabilities and refining inspection procedures to detect smuggled goods and illicit substances effectively.
