KUWAIT CITY, April 10: Personnel from the General Administration of Customs, specifically the Customs Warehouses Department, successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle approximately 100,000 narcotic capsules concealed in black boxes hidden beneath clothing.

According to official reports, suspicions were raised during a routine inspection of incoming goods linked to a wholesale and retail trading company. Upon closer examination, inspectors discovered around 315 concealed boxes beneath the clothing items. These boxes contained an estimated 100,000 capsules suspected to be narcotic or psychotropic substances.

A sample of the capsules was sent to the General Department of Criminal Evidence for analysis. The results confirmed that the substances fall under the schedule of psychotropic drugs. Consequently, the necessary legal procedures were initiated, and the case was referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
