Kuwait Denies Citizenship Suspension Rumors

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 8: The Ministry of Interior has denied social media claims regarding the suspension of Kuwaiti citizenship withdrawals under Article 8 of the Nationality Law in certain cases. The ministry urged the public to verify information through official channels before sharing unverified news.

Meanwhile, the Central Agency for Bedouns’ Affairs has requested government entities to provide their official email addresses along with contact details, including the responsible individual's name, phone number, and department, to facilitate communication regarding individuals whose citizenship has been revoked.

The agency emphasized that all communications must adhere to approved data protection policies to prevent misuse and ensure confidentiality. This measure is part of the agency's efforts to maintain secure and reliable information-sharing practices with relevant authorities.

The initiative aligns with Cabinet Resolution No. 296, which mandates the agency to coordinate with government bodies to manage the status of individuals affected by citizenship revocation. The agency is required to submit a detailed report to the Council of Ministers every three months, outlining the actions taken and progress made in addressing these cases.
