KUWAIT CITY, Oct 21: Under the directives of His Excellency the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, significant progress has been made in combating organized crime, particularly targeting visa forgers and employers who facilitate illegal residency transactions for monetary gain. The Ministry of Interior's Residency Affairs Sector, through the General Department of Residency Affairs Investigations, has been actively addressing these violations since beginning of the year.

As a result of their efforts, 21,190 violators of the residency and labor laws have been apprehended and deported from Kuwait. Additionally, 11,970 individuals have rectified their legal status by paying the fines imposed under the legal framework.

The investigations have also uncovered 59 criminal cases involving the forgery of official documents and the facilitation of obtaining residency in exchange for money. These cases often stem from fictitious companies, with their owners and representatives being arrested for document forgery and tampering with assessments. Furthermore, 506 misdemeanor cases have been recorded, involving individuals and companies aiding in the illegal acquisition of residency permits.

The Ministry of Interior emphasizes its commitment to rigorously pursuing and holding accountable those who violate residency laws, including both workers and employers who engage in unlawful activities.
