KUWAIT CITY, Aug 11: Abdali border security arrested a Gulf citizen arriving from Iraq who was wanted by Interpol to serve a 38-year judicial sentence.
The traveler attempted to enter the Abdali port but decided to return to Iraq when he realized his entry visa had expired. However, upon reaching the port on Friday and undergoing a routine check, authorities discovered the outstanding judicial ruling against him.
Kuwaiti security authorities promptly coordinated with their Gulf counterparts, leading to the traveler's deportation to his home country in compliance with the Gulf security agreement for the handover of individuals with arrest warrants and judicial sentences.
