Kuwait Dismantles International Drug Trafficking Gangs, 7 Asians Arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 18: The General Department for Combating Narcotics, as part of its ongoing security efforts to combat drug dealers and smugglers, has successfully dismantled an international drug trafficking network. The operation was carried out by the Criminal Security Sector in coordination with international law enforcement agencies

The operation resulted in the arrest of seven suspects of Asian nationality who were involved in distributing narcotics and psychotropic substances across various regions of the country. The network was operating under the guidance of an external international criminal organization

During the raid, authorities seized approximately 16 kilograms of various types of narcotics, 9,000 psychotropic tablets, and 9 precision scales. The suspects, along with the confiscated items, have been transferred to the Drugs and Alcohol Prosecution Office for further legal proceedings

The General Department for Combating Narcotics reaffirms its commitment to continuing intensive security campaigns to apprehend anyone involved in drug trafficking or importation. The department remains dedicated to protecting society from the dangers of this serious threat
