RIYADH, Nov 12: Kuwait triathlon team secured impressive victories at the Asian Triathlon Championship held in Al-Khobar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, within the 25-35 age groups. The team clinched a gold medal, two silver medals, and three bronze medals in a remarkable display of skill and determination.
Ali Dashti claimed the gold medal, while Fi. Al-Mulla and Fatima Al-Ghanem earned the two silver medals. The bronze medals were secured by Jassim Al-Rujaib, Mubarak Jumaa, and Noura Al-Barrak. This outstanding performance garnered praise from Rashid Al-Kandari, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Club and the Kuwait Triathlon Federation.
Al-Kandari congratulated the triumphant athletes, emphasizing the significance of their achievement in the Asian Championship. He commended the team for elevating Kuwait's name and flag on the international stage, expressing confidence in the continued success of Kuwaiti athletes in the world of triathlon.
Highlighting the commitment to excellence, Al-Kandari affirmed, "It is not surprising for the people of Kuwait to attain such remarkable feats. We will persist in our efforts at the club and the Kuwaiti Triathlon Federation to secure more titles in the realm of sports, proudly representing Kuwait."
He also extended gratitude to the General Sports Authority and the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee for their unwavering support, acknowledging their pivotal role in enhancing the skills and performance of the club's athletes, leading to positive outcomes in international competitions.
