KUWAIT CITY, Oct 4: Today marks the commencement of the competitive journey for Kuwait in the World Bowling Championship, that Kuwait proudly host from October 4 to 15. Anticipation is high, with strong hopes of securing prominent positions in the face of stiff competition.
The participating teams have wrapped up their preparations, culminating in final training sessions at the bowling complex hall. The enthusiastic atmosphere during these sessions guarantees intense competitiveness and strength as they vie for the coveted championship titles in both men’s and women’s categories.
Numerous male and female players, as well as technical directors of the teams, have expressed their delight at being in Kuwait. They lauded the nation’s vast potential and the exemplary organization of the event, which is poised to significantly contribute to the tournament’s success. Farouk Haridi, President of the African Confederation and a member of the Executive Office of the International Bowling Federation, expressed his joy at being in Kuwait. He highlighted how Kuwait has become a sought-after destination for elite male and female players worldwide. Haridi emphasized that Kuwait’s role as the host of the World Championship underscores its competence in organizing such prestigious events, attracting top talents from across the globe.
Haridi noted that the competition in the tournament will be fierce, given the presence of teams comprising both male and female players who have converged on Kuwait with a single goal – to deliver an outstanding performance and contend for the championship title. He also commended the significant efforts put forth by the International Federation of the Game, led by Sheikh Talal Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah. Sheikh Talal’s unwavering commitment to surmounting obstacles and advancing the sport worldwide, coupled with his dedication to expanding its reach, has earned appreciation from all continental federations. These federations collaborate closely with the International Bowling Federation to realize shared goals.
