Kuwait Equestrian League kicks off with strong participation

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 5: The fourth edition of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation League Championship kicks off its first round today at 1:30 pm at the Kuwait Equestrian Center in Subhan. Riders from all local clubs will compete for total cash prizes amounting to 10,000 dinars for the first-place winners.

Masoud Hayat, President of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation, expressed confidence in the progress of Kuwaiti equestrianism, emphasizing the federation's success in organizing the league championship over the past three seasons. He also highlighted its achievements in hosting international championships under the supervision of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI).

Hayat extended his gratitude to the Public Authority for Sports and private sector companies for their support, which has significantly increased public interest in equestrian events. He noted the strong audience turnout in recent years and called for continued encouragement to help Kuwaiti riders maintain their impressive results.

The president also congratulated knight Ali Al-Kharafi for his recent triumph at the Longines International Show Jumping Championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he clinched a gold medal in the 145 cm category, bringing pride to Kuwait on the international stage.

In other news, the Equestrian Federation’s General Assembly is scheduled for December 16 to elect a new board of directors for the 2025–2028 electoral cycle.
