Ministry of Health headquarters

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 18:  The Central Administration for Primary Healthcare at the Ministry of Health announced an expansion of its healthcare services, including increasing the number of Healthy Child Clinics to 94, Chronic Disease Clinics to 102, and Diabetes Clinics to 105. Additionally, 72 specialized clinics for mental health have been established, recognizing the integral role of mental health in overall well-being.

Dr. Dina Al-Dhubaib, Director of the Administration, emphasized in a press statement on Monday that primary healthcare is the first line of defense and the backbone of the health system. She highlighted the ministry's commitment to serving all age groups and providing exceptional services based on the latest international protocols.

Dr. Al-Dhubaib noted that chronic diseases remain a top priority due to their long-term impact on individuals and society. To address the rising prevalence of diabetes in Kuwait, diabetes clinics have been significantly expanded.

She also announced the introduction of home visit programs targeting the elderly and individuals with special needs who are bedridden. These visits aim to deliver high-quality clinical care in a safe home environment, supervised by highly trained multidisciplinary medical teams, ensuring the best possible quality of life.

In a related announcement, Dr. Al-Dhubaib revealed that the annual medical conference for primary care will take place on December 4 under the theme "Comprehensive Team for Integrated Care." The conference, sponsored by Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, will feature 41 international speakers. Topics will include common diseases in children and adolescents, updated home visit protocols, enhancing primary healthcare's role in mental health and chronic disease management, and improving women's health and maternal care.
