KUWAIT CITY, April 16: The Ministry of Higher Education announced on Wednesday that it is closely monitoring the situation of several Kuwaiti students in the United States whose academic journeys have been disrupted following the cancellation of their student visas by U.S. authorities.
In a statement, the ministry affirmed that it has been actively addressing the issue since it first emerged. Through its cultural offices in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, the ministry has begun compiling a list of the affected students and is in direct contact with the universities they are enrolled in to assess their academic standing.
The ministry emphasized that each case will be handled individually to ensure the students can continue their education without interruption. It reiterated its commitment to maintaining direct and ongoing communication with the affected students and providing the necessary support to help them complete their studies.
This effort, the ministry noted, is part of its broader mission to safeguard the educational progress and academic stability of Kuwaiti students abroad.
Reports indicate that hundreds of international students in the United States have faced sudden visa cancellations, receiving emails from U.S. authorities stating that their visas had been revoked without explanation or justification.
