KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: The Kuwait Football Association has officially announced the revocation of suspensions that were previously issued against players who participated in the local football and futsal competitions during the last season (2022-2023). This applies to suspensions resulting from both accumulated yellow and red cards.
Hayef Al-Mutairi, the Vice President of the local federation, conveyed in a press release that the primary goal behind this decision is to provide an opportunity for clubs to fully utilize all of their players. Al-Mutairi further elaborated that, in addition to the player-related suspensions, the federation has also opted to lift suspension penalties that had been imposed on coaches and administrators. It is important to note, however, that disciplinary measures and financial fines will remain in place.
These measures are anticipated to contribute positively to the overall competitive landscape in the upcoming season (2023-2024), promoting a higher level of engagement and performance within the football community.
