KUWAIT CITY, Oct 30: The acting Secretary-General of the Federation, Dr. Saleh Al-Majroub, emphasized the importance of the awareness workshop on combating doping, stating that it plays a crucial role in educating players and the technical, administrative, and medical staff. This workshop was held at Jaber Stadium in collaboration with the Kuwait Anti-Doping Agency and focused on outlining the rules of doping prevention and the implementation of associated programs.

Dr. Al-Majroub urged all clubs to participate in such workshops due to their significance, expressing hope that they would benefit attendees and help prevent unintentional suspensions caused by ignorance of doping rules. He made these remarks in a statement to Al-Seyassah.

Fatima Al-Fulaijawi, the Director of the Results Follow-up and Penalty Implementation Department at the Kuwait Anti-Doping Agency, highlighted the prior neglect in educating athletes and staff about doping, which has led to unfair consequences for many players. She noted that some sports institutions have not taken the issue seriously, underscoring that anti-doping regulations are now mandatory for international participation.

Al-Fulaijawi stated that its mission is to promote awareness, emphasizing the dangers of doping and educating athletes on their rights and responsibilities. She assured that collaboration with all federations is ongoing and that the Kuwait Anti-Doping Agency welcomes engagement from all sports institutions.

Dr. Abdul Majeed Al-Bannai, Director of the Medical Department at the Football Association and Head of the Medical Committee, explained that the primary aim of these workshops is to protect players from the health risks associated with stimulants and to ensure fair competition without cheating.
