KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13: The Kuwaiti girls' rhythmic gymnastics team concluded their successful stint at the Second Baku International Junior Women's Championship, returning home adorned with a total of 6 medals – 4 silver and 2 bronze.

The standout performers contributing to Kuwait's achievement were Raya Al-Qassar, Nabila Al-Kharafi, and Talia Behbehani. Raya secured a bronze medal with the hoop, while Nabila claimed 3 silver medals in the general individual, freestyle performance, and mace categories. Talia earned a silver in freestyle performance and a bronze in the mace category.

Meanwhile, Sarah Al-Bannai and Lian, while not medaling, demonstrated commendable performances, with Behbehani securing a fifth position in the overall singles competition.

Abdul Latif Murad, the Secretary General of the Kuwait Gymnastics Federation, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the parents of the players for their efforts in managing the team's delegation and shouldering the challenges of travel. He also acknowledged their sponsorship of all expenses for the tournament participation.

Murad highlighted the Federation's commitment to its plan and program for preparing the girls' team, emphasizing that their participation in this significant tournament was part of a streamlined approach, with reduced external engagements and approval from the General Sports Authority to participate in key events such as the Baku Championship.
