ZAGREB, Oct 16: Kuwait's talented rhythmic gymnastics team shone brightly at the "Croatia International" Championship, a multi-country event held from the 12th to the 15th of this month. With participants from 15 nations, the Kuwaiti girls made their mark with remarkable achievements.

Sarah Al-Bannai stood out with her exceptional performance, clinching two silver medals in both hoop and pole competitions. She also secured a commendable fourth place in the overall individual competition within the "Pole" category, which featured 24 participants. Meanwhile, Nour Al-Ruzaihan showcased her prowess in the "Junior" category, delivering an outstanding performance in the face of stiff competition among 31 athletes.

Among the participants at the "A" level freestyle performance competition, Raya Al-Qassar displayed her skills and landed in the fourth position, competing against 14 other athletes. Nabila Al-Kharafi matched this feat by securing fourth place in the ball performance competition at the same "A" level.

The Kuwaiti Gymnastics Federation lauded the dedication and hard work of the female athletes at this prestigious international tournament. They emphasized that the primary goal of participation is to elevate the skill levels of these talented athletes and facilitate exposure to diverse and advanced rhythmic gymnastics techniques from around the world.

Notably, the Croatia International Championship witnessed substantial participation from countries such as Slovakia, Italy, Georgia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Latvia, Austria, Bosnia, Moldova, Australia, Canada, Kuwait, and the host country.

The federation highlighted the meticulous preparation plan outlined by Ukrainian coach Irina Kovalchuk for the team, involving participation in a series of international tournaments. The objective is to guide these female gymnasts to achieve their highest potential, and the federation is committed to providing all the necessary elements for their success, as they continue to make promising strides in international competitions.
