Kuwait Handball Federation presents the national team jersey to Bashar Abdullah.

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 9: The Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sports, Bashar Abdullah, welcomed a delegation from the Kuwait Handball Federation’s Board of Directors at his office, where they presented him with a national team jersey. This gesture followed Kuwait’s participation in the 29th World Handball Championship, held earlier this month in Croatia, Denmark, and Norway, where the national team secured 27th place with victories over Guinea, Japan, and Algeria.

The delegation included Federation President Fouad Al-Balushi, Vice President Shabib Al-Hajri, Secretary Qaid Al-Adwani, and Treasurer Khaled Talib. During the meeting, discussions focused on advancing Kuwaiti handball, strengthening national teams, and enhancing their competitiveness in regional and international tournaments, including Gulf, Arab, Asian, and global events.

Bashar Abdullah commended the national team's strong performance in recent international appearances and reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to supporting Kuwaiti handball.

Federation President Fouad Al-Balushi expressed gratitude for the Sports Authority’s role in promoting handball both locally and internationally and for its continuous support in overcoming challenges faced by the Federation in external competitions.

Meanwhile, Secretary Qaid Al-Adwani praised the collaborative efforts of the Sports Authority, the Federation, and the players, which have led to Kuwait qualifying for the 2025 World Cup finals and the junior team securing a spot in the upcoming Junior World Cup.
