KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: Kuwait Handball League "merge" matches are set to resume today at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex Hall in the Sabah Al-Salem.
For the third and fourth rounds, the Handball Federation moved matches to Kuwait Club Hall in Kaifan, as the "Al-Saad" Hall, managed by the Public Authority for Sports, was occupied with other sports events.
The fifth-round action will feature three matches: Al-Tadamon faces Al-Arabi at 4:30 pm, followed by Al-Fahaheel vs. Khaitan at 6: 00 pm, and Al-Sulaibikhat vs. Al-Qadisiyah at 7:30 pm. The round continues tomorrow with Al-Sahel against Al-Qurain and Burqan taking on Al-Salmiya.
The Federation has postponed the matches for Kuwait Club and Kazma from the fifth to the eighth rounds due to their participation in the 27th Asian Clubs Championship in Doha from November 13-24. Kuwait Club, drawn into Group A, will compete with Al-Rayyan (Qatar), Al-Karkh (Iraq), Al-Sharjah (UAE), and Al-Shabab (Bahrain), while Kazma’s "Orange" team, in Group B, will face Al-Khaleej (Saudi Arabia, defending champion), Al-Ahly Sidab (Oman), Al-Duhail (Qatar), and Mes Kerman (Iran).
Meanwhile, Kuwait Club continues intensive daily training at its camp in Manama in preparation for the Asian Championship, with a friendly match scheduled against Bahrain’s Al-Ahly this Thursday. Kazma’s team, having arrived at their training camp in Cairo, has also begun daily preparations for the competition.
