KUWAIT, Aug 28: The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) delivered Sunday urgent relief assistance to Pakistan to help the country face the current floods. After meeting with Pakistan's Ambassador to Kuwait Malik Farooq, Secretary General of KRCS Maha al-Barjas stressed Kuwait's solidarity with Pakistan, its government and people in the face of repercussions of tough climate conditions. She said that the society provides all relief, humanitarian and health services required to displaced persons to help them overcome the difficult phase caused by floods.

The society's field team will secure the safety of the displaced persons, and provide logistic, medical and food needs, she pointed out, voicing condolences over the victims of floods in Pakistan's provinces. Meanwhile, Ambassador Farooq extolled the society's urgent humanitarian efforts and aid to the stricken countries and its despondence to humanitarian calls. Floods affected more than 30 million people nationwide Pakistan and led to the killing and wounding of several others. (KUNA)
