KUWAIT CITY, July 13: The government has no intention to implement the recommendation of international economic agencies to increase fuel prices in order to match international prices and to support State budget resources based on the fact that the current prices are among the lowest in the world, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a reliable source.

According to the source, the increase in fuel prices is not in the agenda of the Government Subsidy Review Committee, which is headed by the Ministry of Finance. He disclosed the committee submits its recommendations and decisions to the Council of Ministers; reviews market conditions to compare them with the value of subsidies; and evaluates subsidies to determine if they should be increased, reduced or granted to specific categories.
