GENEVA, April 3 (KUNA): FIFA released its latest world rankings for April 2025 on Thursday, with Kuwait's national football team maintaining its position at 134th with 1,112.12 points.
In a statement from Nyon, Switzerland, FIFA confirmed that Argentina continues to hold the top spot in the global rankings, following significant victories over Uruguay (1-0) and Brazil (4-1).
Meanwhile, Spain has overtaken France to claim second place, benefiting from France's recent slip-up against Croatia, which pushed them down to third.
Morocco remains the leader among Arab and African teams, climbing two spots to 12th with 1,694.24 points. Senegal follows in 19th place with 1,630.32 points.
Among Arab teams, Egypt ranks 32nd with 1,518.79 points, while Algeria holds 36th with 1,507.17 points.
In Asia, Japan maintains its top regional position, sitting 15th globally with 1,652.64 points, ahead of Iran in 18th place with 1,637.39 points.
The top 10 saw some notable shifts: England remained fourth, Brazil rounded out the top five, and the Netherlands advanced to sixth, surpassing Portugal. Belgium holds eighth, followed by Italy in ninth and Germany in tenth.
