KUWAIT CITY, May 16 : Kuwait hosted the FIFA World Cup Trophy on Monday, which is the third stop of the Trophy’s tour in the GCC before the kick-start of the World Cup Qatar 2022 in November. The World Cup Trophy arrived in Kuwait along with the Brazilian former football player, Gilberto Silva. Receiving him at the airport was the Kuwait Football Association (KFA) President Sheikh Ahmad Al- Yousef Al-Sabah and General Secretary Salah Al-Qenaei. Several former players of the Kuwaiti National Football Team attended the reception.

His Highness Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Monday a FIFA delegation as part of a tour in the GCC countries before the kick-start of the World Cup Qatar 2022. His Highness praised the tireless efforts made by Qatar to organize this world championship, expressing his pride in the unprecedented capabilities offered by the sisterly State, and wishing them success in organizing such a global tournament. The meeting was attended by Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and other top officials.
