KUWAIT CITY, Feb 11 : Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and in the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al- Sabah as his representative, Kuwait celebrated the inauguration of the new Palace of Justice in a grand ceremony on Tuesday evening. Upon arrival, His Highness the Crown Prince was warmly received by Supreme Judicial Council President and Court of Cassation President Dr. Adel Majed Bouresli, Minister of Justice Nasser Yousef Al-Sumait, and other senior judicial officials. He then unveiled a commemorative plaque to mark the occasion, alongside the presence of Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah and other dignitaries.
The event featured speeches from senior officials, including Dr. Bouresli, who highlighted the strategic importance of the new judicial complex, describing it as a “beacon of fairness and justice in Kuwait.” He emphasized that the state-of-the-art facility reflects Kuwait’s commitment to modernizing the judiciary, incorporating digital transformation, AI integration, and streamlined litigation processes to ensure efficiency and accessibility. Minister of Justice Nasser Al-Sumait echoed this sentiment, stating that the new Palace of Justice reinforces Kuwait’s vision for judicial reform, focusing on speedy case resolutions, enhanced transparency, and technological advancements. The Cabinet reaffirmed its unwavering support for the judiciary, recognizing it as a pillar of national security and stability. Officials pledged to uphold justice, integrity, and independence, ensuring that the legal system remains fair, efficient, and responsive to societal needs. The ceremony concluded with the screening of a documentary on the history of Kuwait’s judiciary, followed by a presentation of a commemorative gift to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s representative, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. With the unveiling of this modern judicial landmark, Kuwait takes a significant step forward in enhancing its legal framework and ensuring swift and effective justice for all. (KUNA)
