KUWAIT CITY, July 18: Fares Bouqmaz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Fish Trade Union, announced the implementation of new security, control, and logistical measures aimed at facilitating fish import procedures. These measures are expected to save significant time and effort compared to traditional import operations.

The announcement was made during a press statement by Bouqmaz at a coordination meeting held at the General Directorate of Coast Guard headquarters. The meeting included key figures such as Brigadier General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, Director General of the General Directorate of Coast Guard at the Ministry of Interior; Faisal Al-Ansari, Director of the Commercial Control Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry; Mishaal Al-Sanea from the Judicial Police at the Ministry; and Union member Jaber Al-Fulaijawi.

During the meeting, final preparations were made to activate these measures, which aim to increase the quantity of imported fish available in the market, thereby reducing prices. Bouqmaz emphasized that the union is committed to working with relevant authorities to take all necessary steps to support the operations of member companies and ensure a steady supply of fish for consumers.

Bouqmaz concluded by expressing his gratitude to the Ministries of Interior, Commerce, and Industry, and other relevant authorities for their constructive efforts in supporting the Union's role.
