Kuwaiti, Iranians, and a Bedoun Arrested for Document Forgery and Drug Possession

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: In a significant breakthrough against corruption, the Search and Investigation Department of the General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations has successfully apprehended a four-member gang involved in forging official documents. The operation carried out under the directives of senior Ministry of Interior leadership, resulted in the arrest of a Kuwaiti citizen, two Iranian nationals, and a Bedoun.

The gang's illicit activities centered around the production of fraudulent sick leave certificates. These documents, bearing backdated timestamps, were purportedly approved by a prominent medical center and the Medical Licensing Department. The suspects allegedly issued these forged certificates without the physical presence of patients, in exchange for monetary compensation.

Following meticulous surveillance and with the necessary legal authorization from the Attorney General's representative, law enforcement officials conducted a raid. During the operation, authorities seized various forgery tools, including devices and official seals. Additionally, substances suspected to be narcotics and intoxicants were discovered in the suspects' possession.

The Ministry of Interior has affirmed its unwavering commitment to combating corruption and maintaining national security. A spokesperson emphasized the Ministry's resolve to confront lawbreakers firmly, underscoring the government's dedication to protecting the integrity of official processes and safeguarding society

All suspects have been referred to the appropriate legal authorities for further action, as the investigation continues to unfold. This successful operation highlights Kuwait's ongoing efforts to root out corruption and maintain the rule of law
